I have a serious love affair with the sun. I mean, I just die over a nice sun flare in the background of photos. However, since Kentucky is seriously so bipolar, I have had to learn to live without my side piece. It has honestly made me step back and focus on what it is that I wanted my photographs to capture exactly. It isn’t the sunset or the pretty views, although those are nice, it is YOU. I want to capture you. You with your kids, your kids giving me silly faces, their toothless grins, or the smiles they give looking up at you, because at this point in time, YOU are the best thing in their lives. I say it all the time but I want to capture you in this moment, exactly how it is. I will never forget during this session their son looked up at me and said, “this is fun”, and that is what is important. Having fun, capturing your family, exactly the way it is now. I want that for all my families. I am seriously missing all of you something fierce today and I can’t wait for these trees to bloom and this grass to turn greener so we can get out and play together.
