This day…ah this day. It truly was one for the books. I literally was in panic mode that morning, the radar looked terrible for the ENTIRE DAY & I knew their ceremony was planned for outdoors at Huber Winery and I knew how beautiful the grounds would be so I would def. be bummed if we didn’t get to take advantage of that. When arriving at the salon, the rain was at a stand still and I believe it began back up while we were inside. While driving to Huber’s the sky was dark but not a drop hit my car, I was starting to feel relieved about the day & maybe just maybe the radar was wrong. But boy was I wrong!!! It drizzled while the bride & groom got dressed but stopped enough to go outside for their reveal and a few photos… well then the sun started! It was a hot bright sun for most of the afternoon which isn’t ideal for photos in the middle of a vineyard. As we were wrapping up pictures, we had a nice little visit from the local ducks… geese? whatever they were and then… the sky OPENED up. I mean we were running to get out of the rain, but the bride and groom kept their cool THE ENTIRE time!!! They really wanted the outdoor ceremony but it just didn’t look like it was going to happen, until about 10 minutes before the ceremony was to start, the sky cleared and the sun came out and the Huber’s staff worked tirelessly to dry all the chairs. It ended up being a gorgeous day with a gorgeous sunset and even though we had soooo many amazing shots of the bride and groom already, I dragged them back outside for a few more in the gorgeous sunset light. I could not have asked for a better day or a better couple to spend such a wonderful wedding day with! Congratulations Kasey & John, it truly was as easy as we talked about it would be at all 4 of your mini sessions. I am so blessed to have gotten to know you two as well as I have! I wish you the best of marriages & hopefully many years to come of photos!!
